Application

• Distribute through washed hair, leave on for a few minutes and rinse.
• It can also be used before washing your hair for at least 10 minutes.
• Ideal in combination with the other products in the SOS chestnut hair line for optimal results.
• For in-depth care for particularly damaged hair, extend the exposure time and use regularly as a mask before washing your hair.

Active ingredients

• Coconut oil (Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil) protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals and premature aging. The high content of lauric acid gives the oil its antifungal and antibacterial properties. Coconut oil is comedogenic but still helps against impurities and is suitable for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Moisturizes and makes the skin supple.
• Hair is mostly made up of keratin protein. Keratin can be affected by environmental influences and external stress. If there is too little protein, the hair appears lifeless and dull and can break. Proteins strengthen the hair, can rebuild it and make it resistant. Proteins help repair the cuticle and act as a protective shield for the hair shaft. Proteins fight signs of hair damage like split ends and excessive dryness.
• Nettle Extract (Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Extract) is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. Stinging nettle is traditionally used to treat eczema, wounds and even psoriasis. The extracts are rich in vitamins A and E, flavonoids, carotenoids and sitosterol and help the skin protect itself from environmental stress. Stinging nettle has a sebum-regulating effect.
• amino acids keep your skin and hair supple. Due to their small size, they easily penetrate the skin and help transport moisture through the skin. They support the production of collagen and elastin and protect the skin from free radicals. Some amino acids act like antioxidants themselves, but most amino acids help the skin to produce its own antioxidants.
• lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and may reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. It also has the ability to shrink large pores and revitalize dull, uneven complexions.
• Linseed Oil / Extract (Linum Usitatissimum (Flax) Seed Extract/Oil) – The oil’s high omega-3 content has anti-inflammatory properties and can quell breakouts and soothe irritated, dry skin. The oil locks in moisture and keeps skin and hair hydrated and healthy, which can help skin become firmer. It is also said to have cell-regenerating properties. In hair care, flaxseed supplies the hair follicles with nutrients and promotes hair growth and hair elasticity. Combats dry and flaky scalp.
• Arginine is a natural amino acid that stabilizes the skin's pH value and supports the skin's barrier function. Arginine stimulates blood circulation in the skin and hair, can regenerate skin damage and is involved in the formation of muscle cells and collagen and promotes the development of connective tissue. Arginine is also very kind to the skin. Through food, we can get arginine from things like peanuts, lentils, salmon, eggs, chicken breast, and pumpkin seeds.
• Squalane or squalane oil (squalane) is a light, non-comedogenic and non-greasy oil that leaves skin (or hair) silky-smooth. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's own fats. The regenerating oil prevents age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is usually obtained from olive oil, more rarely from rice germ or wheat germ oil. Squalene is converted into squalane for cosmetic purposes. Squalane no longer contains any unsaturated compounds and is therefore resistant to oxidation and has a longer shelf life. By the way, squalane was originally obtained from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
