Application

• To remove light makeup, start by applying a small amount of Lotus Cleansing Balm to dry hands and face.
• Massage gently onto face and eyes to loosen makeup.
• Add water to emulsify and rinse.
• Pat dry with a cheesecloth using light pressure to remove any remaining makeup.
• With the Cream Cleanser clean as a second cleaning.

• Massage gently to loosen makeup.
• Before adding water, use a cotton ball to remove stubborn eye makeup.
• Then add water and emulsify, avoiding the eyes.

Active ingredients

• Sesame oil (Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil) consists largely of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and oleic acid. The oil with lecithin and vitamins E and A dissolves harmful deposits from the skin and thus signs of premature aging. Sesame oil also has a soothing effect, reduces redness and strengthens the skin's protective barrier.
  
• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is obtained from the fruits of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and beta carotene, butter protects against environmental pollution, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Blue Tansy / Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) - Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word "Tansy" comes from the Greek word "Athanaton" and means "immortal" - Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are based on the azulene pigment, which gives it a striking blue color, soothes the skin, and soothes redness and inflammation. Why is cleansing the skin so important?

Without cleansing and detoxifying, your skin would be covered with a thick layer of dirt and oil, making it difficult for skin care ingredients to penetrate the skin properly. Clean skin allows for effective absorption of care products and makes your skin more receptive to subsequent treatments such as peels, masks, serums and moisturizers.

When should I cleanse my skin?

Our RANAVAT beautician recommends cleansing the skin twice a day:

-In the morning to remove excess sebum and dead skin cells accumulated during the night and support skin balance.

In the evening, to cleanse the skin (makeup, sunscreen, dirt, oil, etc.) and to better prepare the skin to absorb care products. 

Does this make my skin feel oily? Does it leave a residue? Do I have to use another cleaning product afterwards?

The Lotus Cleansing Balm simply rinses off, but we always recommend double cleansing with our Cream Cleanser for the ultimate royal cleansing experience. Our balm uses high quality oils that nourish your skin and do not clog pores.

Does it burn your eyes? Can I use it on my eyes?

While the formula is gentle for medium makeup, we recommend using a separate eye makeup remover if makeup is long-wearing. When cleaning your eyes, we recommend gently stroking your eyes with a cloth or cotton ball to gently remove makeup.

How much should I use?

To remove light makeup, start with a tenth-sized amount of Lotus Cleansing Balm on dry hands and face. Massage gently onto face and eyes to loosen makeup. Add water to emulsify and rinse. Pat dry with a cheesecloth using light pressure to remove any remaining makeup. For the second cleaning, clean with Crème Cleanser.

Does this cleansing balm contain fragrance?

We do not use synthetic fragrances, only natural ingredients that provide a sensory experience.

Is the cleansing balm non-comedogenic?

RANAVAT products are designed for all skin types and we do not use comedogenic ingredients in our products.
