Active ingredients

• Squalane or squalane oil (squalane) is a light, non-comedogenic and non-greasy oil that leaves your skin silky smooth. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's own fats. The regenerating oil prevents age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is usually obtained from olive oil, more rarely from rice germ or wheat germ oil. Squalene is converted into squalane for cosmetic purposes. Squalane no longer contains any unsaturated compounds and is therefore resistant to oxidation and has a longer shelf life. By the way, squalane was originally obtained from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
• Pomegranate Seed Oil (Punica Granatum Seed Oil) contains the rare omega 5 fatty acids (punicic acid). These fatty acids have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The oil supports the fight against free radicals and premature skin retention, can alleviate age spots and promotes collagen synthesis and thus skin regeneration and repair. The oil also contains secondary plant substances such as flavonoids, polyphenols and phytosterols, all of which have strong regenerative effects.
• Ceramides are lipids (fats) that occur naturally in our skin. They form the basis of our skin's barrier function. The skin barrier ensures that no harmful substances get into the skin and that the skin remains well moisturized. A functioning skin barrier is essential for healthy skin. Ceramides reduce water loss from the skin, also known as TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss), and protect against environmental pollution, bacteria and other influences to which the skin is exposed. Ceramides are therefore an effective anti-aging agent that also helps to keep the skin supple and soft.
• Peptides are small proteins and consist of several amino acids. There are many different peptides that perform different functions in the body. Among other things, they are involved in the regulation of cell growth and repair and the formation of (larger) proteins such as keratin, elastin or collagen. This makes them a valuable and well-tolerated ingredient in skin care to combat premature skin aging, fine lines and sagging structures. Some peptides also have anti-inflammatory properties and help reduce blemishes like pimples and blackheads.
• Castor oil (Ricinus communis seed oil) consists largely of ricinoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. The oil works against impurities, moisturizes, improves the texture of scars and smoothes the skin. Its high content of vitamin E also helps fight free radicals and premature skin aging.
• Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin) Peel Oil is an essential oil extracted from mandarin peel. It's used in skincare to strengthen and generally nourish the skin. It also gives the product a fresh citrus scent.
• Algae are nutrient-rich and contain important minerals and a variety of vitamins. They reduce redness and inflammation and provide deep hydration. to soothe and repair dry and damaged skin. They stimulate collagen production and protect against free radical damage.
• Hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) stores moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, it fills and supports the connective tissue. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the moisture content of the skin. Hyaluronic acid also promotes the firmness and elasticity of the skin. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is a major cause of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill in fine lines and plump the skin.
