Application

• Take your time

Instead of trying to shave as quickly as possible, consider shaving a little self-care ritual. How about a nice hot shower, a soothing body peeling and then methodically and carefully shave so that you don't miss anything.

• Shower and exfoliate

For an optimal shave, make sure your skin is warm, clean and, ideally, freshly exfoliated. After a thorough exfoliation in the shower, shaving is super easy.

• Apply shaving oil or soap

Depending on your personal preference, use shaving oil or soap and lather the skin well. It is advisable to only lather the area that is to be shaved - step by step, so to speak. If you use shaving oil, it is best to wash your hands briefly with soap so that you have a good grip.

• Do not exert any pressure

The razors are made of solid brass and have a nice weight. Let the razor glide over the skin without applying additional pressure. A good rule of thumb is to position the razor at an angle of around 30 degrees.

• Shave with or against the hair growth?

What works for many:
- Legs: The skin on the legs is not particularly sensitive and shaving against the hair growth is not a problem. In one pass, everything is usually shaved thoroughly.
- Armpits: First go with the direction of hair growth, then pull the skin taut and do a second pass against the direction of hair growth, but without applying pressure.
- Bikini zone: First with the direction of hair growth, then again across the hair growth rather than against it and of course the whole thing without any additional pressure.

• Keep the razor blade clean

After a few passes, rinse the razor head. It is best to hold the razor head and loosen it half a turn. Then clean the razor head of any deposits (hair, skin, oil, grease, etc.) under the tap or in a small bowl of water. Keeping the blade clean and sharp is important to avoid skin irritation.

• Keep the blade sharp

A sharp razor blade is key to avoiding irritation and ingrown hairs. It is best to change the blade after three to four shaves. The cost of the blades is low, so frequent replacement is quite possible. Collect the used blades in a small container and dispose of them.

Change the blade

• The blades of the ZOÉ New Edition safety razor can be changed safely and easily. First, the razor blade must be removed from the wax paper so that you have free access to the razor blade. The razor head consists of 2 parts.
• Now unscrew the shaving head, hold it at both ends. Now you can insert the razor blade onto the threaded cover plate. Once you have done this, put the shaving plate back on and screw it tight.
• Important: Please hold on to the two short ends to avoid contact with the sharp blade. Now you can start shaving. Ideally, you should place the razor on the skin at an angle of 30 degrees to ensure a perfect and gentle shaving experience.
