Founded in 2016 by Parisian illustrator Juliette Mallet, the Coucou Suzette brand is known for colorful, fun and deliberately kitschy creations that simply spread joy. Coucou Suzette became particularly popular for its colorful hair clips made of cellulose acetate, a sustainable alternative to plastic. Each Coucou Suzette creation is unique. The color may vary slightly depending on the piece of cellulose acetate used.

What is cellulose acetate?
Coucou Suzette's combs and hair accessories are made of cellulose acetate. Unlike plastic, synthetic resin or synthetic material, this material is based on natural and renewable raw materials such as the pulp of fruits and vegetables. Cellulose acetate is created in reaction with acetic acid. The relatively new raw material made from renewable and natural raw materials is 100% plant-based and free from animal by-products.
The material is a high-end raw material for high-quality accessories, because cellulose acetate is extremely durable due to its qualitative value and robustness.
