Joseph Franz initially decided to study economics. But a sports accident led him back to his passion for nature. After his accident, he began to pursue his passion for herbal remedies and studied at the University of Pharmacology in Urbino. He also deepened his knowledge abroad and became intensively involved in naturopathy. His in-depth knowledge of the healing power of nature helped him alleviate his pain and even avoid surgery.

With inexhaustible curiosity and profound knowledge of plant-based active ingredients, he revolutionized the industry in 1986 by developing the world's first high-tech Natural Cosmetics®. At a time when the concept of "clean" skin care was still new and unexplored, he laid the foundation for sustainable, tested and certified Natural cosmeticsfor which the brand is known today. Dr. Joseph Franz began producing rinse-off products enhanced with essential oils.

He subsequently began to intensively study gemstone cosmetics and quantum biology in cosmetics. In collaboration with Professor Senekowitsch from the University of Graz, he developed an innovative project that combined the principles of holistic natural cosmetics with the findings of quantum science. This creative phase enabled him to explore a variety of interdisciplinary topics and make exciting discoveries about plant-based active ingredients. The combination of his extensive knowledge and cosmetic expertise formed the foundation for the Team Dr Joseph brand, which he continues to promote with great passion and dedication today.
