• Does the 100% Dark Chocolate bar taste like chocolate?

Ok, this particular bar doesn't really taste like regular chocolate. It happens to be real cacao, a superfood for the bold, the brave, and those who don't want to settle with the mainstream.

It is for those who appreciate really good coffee, fine wine or delicious whiskey. It's complex, exciting, and adults-only. Our taste buds are usually so used to sugar that our brain equates "good" with "sweet". But we turn the tables!

It's amazing how in a short period of about 7 days your taste buds adjust and go from sugar-loving to sugar-suspicious.

• How do I enjoy 100% Dark Chocolate?

Real cacao is eaten slowly and with pleasure and intention. We recommend starting with one square a day and letting it melt in your mouth (do not chew). It can take anywhere from 7 days to 3 weeks for a bar to be eaten.

It goes best with green tea 🍵 or with a fruit 🍎 so that your taste buds can get used to it. Then your gourmet palate will slowly adjust to the fact that bitter = beautiful and sweet = bad.

• 100% cocoa

Legally, in France, anything that can be called "chocolate" must contain sugar. It can't be the real, pure chocolate. It's weird, but we don't care. Our 100% dark chocolate contains neither sugar nor sweeteners, but only 100% pure cocoa with a high nutrient density and Ayurvedic spices.

• Sugar Detox

100% "Chocolate" was really the only thing ours Cosmic Dealer team helped reduce our excess sugar consumption. The bitterness of cocoa suppresses sugar cravings. Research has shown that bitter foods (like real 100% cacao) turn off a receptor in our brain that triggers sugar cravings.

If you're looking to cut back on sugar, take a square whenever you typically crave sugar, typically in the afternoon or right after a meal. It's amazing how it suppresses cravings!

Since green tea is also bitter, it's the perfect combination to fight the sweet stuff.

• What is special about high quality chocolate?

If you are looking for the highest quality and want high nutritional content, you should look for pure cocoa that has not been processed with cocoa butter. Cocoa butter dilutes the flavor and nutrients of the actual cocoa mass, and even if the origin of the cocoa is indicated, in most cases the origin of the butter is not included.

You should look out for artisan chocolate that has been minimally processed and doesn't contain industrial ingredients like soy lecithin, vegetable fats, and emulsifiers (and that's ours, of course).

• What does "Single Origin" mean?

Single-origin chocolate is made from a single variety of cocoa beans harvested in a specific area. This chocolate even goes one step further than single-origin: it is actually single estate - the beans all come from the same farm!

There are some great chocolate mixes made by master chocolatiers. However, most chocolates use a whole sack of mixed beans from different locations, making it very difficult to trace. Then the beans are heated to high temperatures so that the cocoa flavor (and nutrients) are weakened and all beans taste the same.

• What does "Bean-To-Bar" mean?

The chocolatiers are responsible for the whole process: they buy the beans straight from the farm, and they roast and lightly grind them to give you the freshest and best chocolate that is really traceable.
