Therefore Beauty

The two minds behind Therefore Beauty (formerly: Terrorists Of BeautyMar and Natalie are the founders: "We live together in a large startup shared apartment in Hamburg. One day in 2018, we noticed that many of our roommates wanted to say goodbye to shower gels and shampoos and instead tested plastic-free bar soaps for showering. We did the same. With moderate success. Somehow, nothing out there was convincing enough (for us) to achieve a long-term move away from plastic and chemicals in the bathroom."

Mar and Natalie wanted to do better and founded at the end of 2018 Terrorists Of Beauty. Their goal was to develop plastic-free soaps for hair, face and body and to shake up the established laws of the beauty industry. "We want to sell less and instead prefer to sell more of the right thing. That's why our natural soaps replace shampoo, facial cleanser and shower gel in one. We want to think and work sustainably and thereby make a contribution to this world.

All Therefore Beauty soaps are 100% natural, plastic-free, palm oil-free, vegan, and unisex. The soaps are handcrafted and carefully produced in a factory in Lower Saxony using the cold-stirring process. Only high-quality cold-pressed oils are used in production. Each soap contains between four and a maximum of 4 ingredients. Our Nature are packaged at Stiftung Mensch in a workshop for people with disabilities and then sent in a CO2-neutral manner. The packaging is made of FSC-certified cardboard and was printed in a climate-neutral way.

Why the new name? The world is changing – and so is Therefore Beauty. Instead of provoking, we want to offer clarity and reliability: honest, reduced natural cosmetics that work in everyday life: unisex bar soaps that contain shampoo, shower gel and replace facial cleanser.
