Active ingredients

• Sesame Oil (Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil) consists largely of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and oleic acid. The  Olive oil with lecithin and vitamins E and A removes harmful deposits from the skin and thus signs of premature skin aging. Sesame oil also has a soothing effect, reduces redness and strengthens the skin's protective barrier.
• Argan oil (Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil) is obtained from the kernels of the argan fruit. The unique argan trees only grow in southwest Morocco. The antioxidant and vitamin-rich oil is used in skin and hair care. The high fatty acid content (linoleic acid) promotes the development and maintenance of the skin barrier. Its anti-inflammatory properties help with problematic skin and the high vitamin E content protects against free radicals and promotes cell turnover.
• Squalane or squalane oil (squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's own fats. The regenerating oil prevents age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple and promotes oxygenation and cell regeneration.
• Mat Bean Extract (Vigna Aconitifolia Seed Extract) is also known as natural vitamin A (retinol). It stimulates cell turnover and improves collagen synthesis. Efficacy tests have shown that natural vitamin A can fight the effects of aging. The cushioning effect of the vitamin improves the skin structure and makes the skin appear plumper, smoother and more even.
• The brown algae contain a high concentration of antioxidants, trace elements such as iodine, zinc, potassium or beta-carotene and bioactive compounds such as alginic acid, ascorbic acid or carotenoids. These bioactive components support cell renewal and promote clear, smooth and soft skin. Antioxidants help fight free radical damage, and the amino acids, vitamins, and minerals found in brown seaweed stimulate elastin and collagen production.
• Indian pennywort / tiger grass / Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica Extract) – In Ayurvedic medicine, Indian pennywort is also called “tiger grass” and is one of the most important medicinal plants. According to legend, wounded tigers roll in the leaves of the plant to improve wound healing. Tiger grass has an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and regenerating effect on the skin. The plant promotes wound healing and collagen formation. Tiger grass has proven particularly useful for the care of mature skin, as it stimulates blood circulation.
• Rosehip seed oil or wild rose oil (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil) is obtained from the fruits of the dog rose and is considered a very effective vegetable oil for skin care. The oil is rich in provitamin A, vitamin C and E, minerals, carotenoids and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Wild rose oil fights free radicals, promotes cell renewal in the skin and has a balancing effect on the skin tone. The oil promotes collagen production, is well tolerated and very suitable for dry, flaky skin, pigment spots and scars. Impure skin also benefits from the high proportion of anti-inflammatory linoleic and linolenic acids.
• Aloe Vera Extract / Juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract / Juice) provides natural moisture, prevents the skin from drying out and strengthens the natural skin barrier. Aloe Vera contains vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential amino acids. Provides oxygen to the skin and is believed to be effective in supporting cell renewal. Binds moisture, has a cooling, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect.
• Cardamom (Elettaria Cardamomum / Amomum subulatum) promotes blood circulation and has a mood-enhancing effect. The spice is rich in vitamin C and acts as a powerful antioxidant. Cardamom opens the pores, its astringent and antiseptic properties fight the breakout of acne and pimples. It has a tightening and toning effect. Cardamom is one of the ginger plants. There are two main types, the green and black varieties. The green variety is also known as the real cardamom.
• Radish Root Ferment (Leuconostoc / Radish Root Ferment Filtrate) is obtained from fermented radishes. The skin-friendly peptide has strong antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, is an effective moisturizer and strengthens the skin barrier. Used on acne-prone skin to inhibit the growth of bacteria on the skin.

Application

• The Adaptogen Body Oil Serum can be used in the morning and/or evening.
• Use the oil serum after showering or bathing. The oil serum should ideally be applied to slightly damp skin, as this is the best way for it to be absorbed. (However, thanks to its 2-phase formula, it also works on dry skin.)
• Apply a few pumps of body oil to slightly damp skin.
• Gently massage in the body oil. After only a few minutes it is completely absorbed. Enjoy silky soft skin!
• TIP: The Adaptogen Body Oil Serum is perfectly suited for effective follow-up treatment after a Dry brushing ritual and supports the stimulating and skin-tightening effect of dry brushing.

In which step of my beauty routine do I use the oil serum?

It is best to use the Body Oil Serum after yours Dry brushing ritual. By removing dead skin cells, the oil serum can be better absorbed and unfold its effect.

Is the oil serum also suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, the Body Oil Serum is suitable for sensitive skin: it is mildly formulated and contains no alcohol, preservatives or synthetic ingredients. The proportion of essential oils is very low and therefore well tolerated.

How is the price of the Adaptogen Body Oil Serum determined?

We use state-of-the-art active ingredients in reasonable concentrations

These novel active ingredients are very expensive and are often only used in very small amounts, if at all. We always use the comparatively high concentration of active ingredients recommended by current studies - even if this increases the manufacturing costs of our products.

We use the highest quality ingredients and are anhydrous

In our Body Oil Serum we only use effective, natural ingredients of the highest quality: Our high-quality natural ingredients are - if possible - organic or come from wild collection.

We use gently cold-pressed, organically certified active ingredient oils such as argan, wild rose or sesame oil and do not use cheap filling oils such as caprylic/capric triglycerides or sunflower oil*. The oil phase is rounded off with high-quality, bio-based squalane, which is obtained from sustainably cultivated sugar cane.

Instead of water, we use organic direct juice from aloe vera. (There is only the smallest amount of water in our serum, since most plant extracts are dissolved in water).

We develop ourselves

Our Adaptogen Body Serum is an innovative in-house development that we have worked on for many months in close cooperation with our experienced natural cosmetics laboratory. Such an in-house development is tedious and associated with high costs, which is why many brands resort to cheaper and faster to produce ready-made standard recipes. But this is out of the question for us, because our innovative formulation ideas can only be realized as part of an in-house development.

*Our Body Oil Serum contains only a small amount of sunflower oil, as vitamin E is dissolved in it.
