Reading time 6 min

Between wrapping presents, baking cookies and searching for the perfect Christmas tree, there is a special magic in the air – the scent of Christmas. Blanda Beauty Christmas preparations are in full swing, but our team has taken a moment to select its favorite winter perfumes – and we would like to introduce you to these fragrant highlights in this article. These seven natural Perfumes are perfect to give your loved ones or yourself a special treat.

Which scents go well with the Christmas season?

In the cold season, we long for scents that envelop us with warmth and security. Intense scents such as frankincense, resins, patchouli or myrrh create a profound, mystical atmosphere, while warm accords such as vanilla, amber and musk caress us and pamper the senses. Spices such as saffron, cinnamon, pepper and cloves bring a festive flavor that reminds us of cozy evenings and Christmas markets.

Also gourmand notes such as sweet sour cherry, aromatic rum or creamy coconut give the scents a seductive, almost delicious depth that is reminiscent of festive desserts. Citrus nuances such as orange or bergamot provide a sparkling lightness and festive freshness that harmonizes perfectly with the warmth of the winter chords.

Of course, choosing the perfect winter fragrance is entirely subjective – everyone has their own taste and their preferred fragrance family. Blanda Beauty Opinions differ: while some love warm, spicy aromas, others prefer sweet or floral nuances. This variety makes it all the more exciting to discover your personal fragrance favorites and to accompany the festive season with a very individual scent.

Crushed Velvet by A.N OTHER

Our new addition Crushed Velvet from A.N OTHER belongs to the oriental fragrance family and, according to our employee Katrin, who loves sweet and heavier perfumes, is reminiscent of “winter and Christmas”.

Crushed Velvet is a perfume that touches gently with immense power. A seductive whisper. Wherever this perfume lights up, the space expands.

To combine strength and tenderness, perfumer Catherine Selig has brought contrasting notes to life in harmony. "I wanted to convey a feeling of security that comes from strength. To envelop the wearer in a warm, protective cocoon, like a gentle glow."

The intense power of this perfume is based on saffron flower, cypress and olibanum, the dried resin of boswellia or frankincense trees. The tender embrace is created by soft notes of warm amyris, creamy vanilla, aphrodisiac musk and soothing sandalwood.

  • Top notes: saffron blossom, amyris, cypress
  • Heart notes: incense, vanilla orchid, smoked poppy
  • Base notes: Olibanum, Skin Musk, Sandalwood

Catherine Selig sees scents as a medium. "You can tell a lot about a person by knowing what scent they wear and how much of it they spray. Scents have spiritual powers and the secret is to create those powers. I start with the name, the colors and, above all, the emotion." Perfumery is in Catherine's blood. She is the great-granddaughter of the 19th century master perfumer Meinrad Hilfiger. Her friends call her the "magical perfumer."

Cobalt Amber by Abel

The all-time favorite fragrance of Blanda Beauty Co-founder Julia is Cobalt Amber from Abel. She prefers heavy scents that are slightly spicy and not too sweet.

The Cobalt Amber perfume is a sophisticated Oriental woody eau de toilette., where pink pepper and juniper berries give the classic amber note a modern twist.

Abel: "We set out to create a natural, modern amber fragrance that remains true to Parisian Art Deco and is a delight for hedonists. All the characteristics of a traditional amber, vanillin, labdanum, sandalwood, patchouli are present, with a Abel-Innovation: Pink pepper and juniper berry brighten the top note, and cocoa and tonka beans complete this elegant oriental fragrance."

Cobalt Amber niche perfume: Mystical, long-forgotten elegance, moving at high speed, racing, finding your way, losing your way...

  • Top notes: pink pepper, cardamom, juniper berry
  • Heart notes: cocoa, tonka beans, Peruvian balsam
  • Base notes: amber

The "amber" chord as an olfactory concept originated in the late 19th century when the vanillin compound was first synthesized and mixed with labdanum.

The Abel we believe in the power and beauty of fragrances. In their ability to enrich everyday life in a way that nothing else can! We believe that this pleasure should not have a negative impact on the earth, the environment or you. Our ingredients are 100% natural

Dirty Suede by Heretic Parfum

One of Vanessa’s favorites for the winter season is Dirty Suede by Heretic Perfume. Reminiscent of suede, this sensual, spicy scent is intense yet subtle.

The luscious aroma of cedarwood combines with the warmth of white amber, while a hint of pink pepper leads the harmonious connection to a rich heart of jasmine sambac, balsam and animalic ambroxan.
